Lindsay MP David Bradbury and minister for Employment and Workplace Relations Bill Shorten have announced $10 million for the redevelopment of Kurrambee School in Werrington.

The school will swap sites with Penrith Valley Learning Centre, which is on a larger block opposite the school.

The existing Kurrambee School site will also be redeveloped to meet the needs of the Penrith Valley Learning Centre.

Garden festival

Celebrate spring with Penrith Council’s annual Spring Garden Festival at Penrith Library on Saturday, September 15.

There will be free workshops on wildflowers, growing vegetables and herbs in containers, composting, worm farming, bush regeneration and growing food at home. Every visitor will take home a native plant seedling.

You could also win a veggie box, compost bin or worm farm by joining in a workshop.

Garden clubs and experts will be there so bring your questions.
