An Illawong grandmother is enjoying being a millionaire after she took out the Lotto draw on August 20.
Anna Novak, of Novak’s News Post at Illawong, sold the grandmother-of-two her winning ticket.
“She is a regular customer, so we were absolutely thrilled for her, ” Mrs Novak said.
“It’s the first time we’ve sold a winning Lotto ticket since we took over the business six years ago.”
A week later, a Bangor mother-of-two took home the $1 million division one prize.
The winner realised her good fortune when watching the televised draw.
“As I was watching the numbers come up I was saying, ‘I have that one and I have that one’.
“The family were all there and no one would believe me. They thought I was joking around,” she said.
“We all checked the numbers on the internet and still couldn’t believe it.
“It feels like I am in a dream.
“I have been playing Lotto since it began with most of the same numbers, which are birth dates.
“The most I have ever won was $900 and that was years ago.”
