Hunter teenager Maddi Elliott became Australia’s youngest Paralympic gold medallist this morning.
Adding to a collection of one silver and onebronze medal so far during the games, the 13-year-old swimmer claimed first place in the 4×100 freestyle relay.
TheBishop Tyrrell Anglican College student was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age four and took upcompetitiveswimming.
She picked up a bronze medal in the S8 400m freestyle division on Friday and won a silver medal in the S8 50 metres women’s freestyle event on Monday.
