SYDNEY’S Catholic Archbishop, Cardinal George Pell, honoured West Hoxton student, Natalie Martignago, with an Archbishop of Sydney Award for Student Excellence.
The award was presented during a reception at St Mary’s Cathedral.
Natalie, who attends Clancy Catholic College, is the senior leader of Catholic life at her school and extends her works to the local parish community.
She said she was proud of her faith and enjoyed helping others in the Christian tradition.
College principal, Iris Nastasi, said Natalie’s passion led her to dedicate her heart, mind and soul to her education: “She is an extraordinary young woman who delights in all opportunities and has gained the respect of her peers and teachers.”
The award recognises leadership, social justice, academic excellence and community work.
